Every extraction setup needs a run of duct, and the duct is usually the part people buy last and regret first. Too short, and you end up joining two pieces with tape. Too flimsy, and it kinks behind the tent and strangles the airflow you paid a fan to produce.
This is the ducting that just works. PVC-coated aluminium in the two sizes that actually matter — 100mm (4 inch) and 150mm (6 inch) — cut to four lengths, in black, grey or white, with two hose clamps in the box. It pulls out to length, compresses back down for storage, and routes around corners without collapsing.

Why duct choice changes your airflow
Fan ratings are measured on a short, straight, open pipe. Your grow tent is not one. Every metre of duct, every bend and every crush point costs you airflow — a 350 CFM fan sitting behind ten metres of kinked ducting is not a 350 CFM fan any more.
Two rules cover most setups. Keep the run as short as you sensibly can, and match the duct diameter to the fan flange exactly. Necking a 6 inch fan down to 4 inch duct does not just cost you volume, it makes the fan louder and works the motor harder. If your fan and filter are 6 inch, buy 6 inch duct.
Choosing your size and length
- 100mm (4 inch) — 4 inch inline fans and carbon filters, small tents up to roughly 60 × 60cm, tumble dryers, bathroom extractors.
- 150mm (6 inch) — 6 inch inline fans and carbon filters, tents from 80 × 80cm upwards, cooker hoods, larger grow rooms.
- 2m and 3m — filter to fan inside the tent, or a short hop to a wall or window vent.
- 5m — the safe default for a tent in a spare room venting to a window or into the loft.
- 10m — long runs through a loft or across a garage, or two separate runs (intake and exhaust) from one purchase.
Buy a little longer than you measure. Trimming ducting is easy — joining it is not.

Good to Know
- Lengths are the fully extended length. The ducting arrives compressed — stretch it out gently before fitting, and don't pull it beyond its natural length.
- Clamp both ends. Tape on its own works loose once the fan starts vibrating.
- Keep bends gentle. One sharp 90° kink can cost you more airflow than several extra metres of straight run.
- This is standard flexible ducting, not acoustic or thermally insulated ducting. If noise is your main concern, an acoustic duct or an inline silencer will do more for you.
- Trim with sharp scissors or tin snips, and handle the cut end carefully — cut edges are sharp.
